Full Care Package

 

At Mount Prospect Horse Agistment, we provide a comprehensive Full Care Package to ensure your horse receives the highest standard of care.   Our services are designed to promote the well-being, safety, and comfort of every horse in our care.

 

Core Services:

• Twice-Daily Feeding: We provide high-quality hard feed and hay to meet your horse's nutritional needs.

• Rugging: Rugs are placed on and removed based on changing weather conditions.

• Fly Mask Management: Fly masks are applied and removed as needed to ensure your horse’s comfort and protection.

• Paddock Options: Horses can be placed in either private or shared paddocks, all secured with three-strand fencing. The top strand is white sight wire with mains electric fencing for added security.

  • Private paddocks are reserved for owners or trainers with at least two horses.

  • Horses without a paired companion will be placed in shared paddocks.

 

Complimentary Services: The following are included at no additional cost:

• 24/7 comprehensive care and monitoring

• Loose boxes available to most paddocks

• Coordination of barefoot trimmer visits every six weeks

• Coordination of annual equine dentist visits

• Manure collection and paddock harrowing

• Regular water trough checks and cleaning

• Dedicated, personalized care and attention

 

Optional Additional Services: The following services are available at an extra cost:

• Supply of supplements

• Administration of wormers and medications

• Farrier holding

• Veterinary holding

• Post-veterinary treatment care, if required

 

Important Information:

• An agistment contract must be signed upon your horse's arrival.

• A bond equivalent to one month's agistment fee, as well as the first month’s agistment fee, must be paid in advance.

 

Daily Monitoring: Every horse is carefully monitored throughout the day, with a final inspection conducted late each evening to ensure all horses are safe, comfortable, and secure.
